1. Who we are

This policy covers Jaikey (the company and brand), including:

• the marketing site at jaikey.net
• the web app at /jaikey-app/ (AI diagnostics, repair, verification)
• related product surfaces (for example optimize tools and rates pages)
• Jaikey Desktop (Windows portable prompt optimizer), a Pro bonus included with Jaikey $30, not a separate product

Controller contact: jacob.quaife@jaikey.net. Older pages or APIs may still use internal names such as “Frankey”; they are part of the same Jaikey service.

2. What we collect

• Accounts: email, optional name, authentication credentials (passwords are handled by our auth provider; we do not store plaintext passwords).
• Jobs you submit: labels, system type hints, text or files you paste or upload (prompts, agents, workflows, PRDs, architecture notes, and other AI systems), tasks or success criteria when you use controlled tests, and results we generate (diagnostics, findings, service reports, repaired drafts, change notes, optional scores inside Full Service).
• Usage and access: free monthly AI diagnostic allowance, Pro status, and related usage events so quotas and billing work correctly.
• Payments (if you buy Jaikey Pro): Stripe processes card payments. We receive payment status, product, and identifiers needed to unlock Pro (for example customer or session IDs). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
• Technical: operational logs (time, route, errors, approximate IP for rate limits and abuse prevention). We may use privacy-friendly site analytics (for example Vercel Web Analytics) on marketing pages to understand traffic at a high level, not to build advertising profiles.
• Jaikey Desktop (local): recent optimize history and session tokens may be stored on your device under your user profile (for example AppData on Windows). Cloud optimize runs still use your signed-in Jaikey account and the same cloud processing rules as the web app.
• Support: if you email us, we process the content of that conversation to respond.

3. Why we process data (legal bases under GDPR)

• Contract / steps prior to contract: create accounts, run diagnostics and repairs you request, show history, unlock Pro after payment.
• Legitimate interests: secure the service, prevent abuse and fraud, operate quotas, improve reliability (balanced against your rights).
• Consent: where we ask for consent for a specific optional purpose.
• Legal obligation: if we must retain or disclose data by law.

4. Your content stays yours

• You retain ownership of prompts, agents, workflows, PRDs, architecture, and other materials you upload or paste.
• We process them to diagnose, repair, and verify for the job you requested, and to show you history and service reports in your account.
• We do not use your content to train foundation models for public redistribution.
• We do not sell or rent your content to third parties.
• We do not share your content with other Jaikey customers.
• Full Service repairs and apply-fix tools require your approval where the product asks for it. You are responsible for reviewing any repaired output before you use it in production.
• Staff access is limited to operating the service (support you request, debugging a failed job you reported, security).

5. Free and Pro

• Free: web prompt optimize (subject to fair use and rate limits), and a limited free AI diagnostic allowance per month as shown in the product and on Rates.
• Jaikey Pro ($30): unlimited AI diagnostics on your account, full service reports, exports and repair tools as offered in the app, and Jaikey Desktop as a Pro bonus (not sold as a separate product).
• Quota and payment state are stored so we can enforce these limits accurately.

6. AI models and processors

Diagnostics, optimize, and repair features may use large language models and infrastructure providers acting as processors under our instructions. Current categories include:

• Model API (for example xAI) to run evaluation and optimize jobs
• Hosting (for example Vercel) for the site and APIs
• Auth and database (for example Supabase) for accounts, profiles, history, and usage events
• Payments (Stripe) when you purchase Pro
• Email delivery (for example transactional email via our auth stack) for sign-up and recovery messages

• Content is sent only as needed to produce your result.
• We do not grant those providers a right to use your content for their own independent products beyond their processor role.
• Exact vendors or model routing may change as the product develops; we will keep this section accurate and can confirm current processors on request (email jacob.quaife@jaikey.net).

7. Where data is stored

Infrastructure may process and store data in the EU and/or US (and other regions used by our processors). Where personal data leaves the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses offered by our processors, or equivalent mechanisms.

8. Retention

• Account, job history, and usage events: while your account is active, or until you request deletion (subject to legal or security holds).
• Payment records: as long as needed for accounting, chargebacks, and legal obligations (Stripe also retains records under its own policy).
• Logs: short operational windows unless needed for security or legal reasons.
• Jaikey Desktop local history: until you clear it in the app or delete the local data on your device.

9. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Erase data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

10. Cookies and local storage

Essential storage is used for sign-in sessions and app preferences. The web app may store session tokens and UI state in your browser. Jaikey Desktop stores session and local history on your computer. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on Jaikey product surfaces described here. Marketing pages may use first-party analytics that do not rely on advertising cookies.

Jaikey is not directed at children under 16. Do not create an account if you are under 16.

We may update this policy as Jaikey matures. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after updates constitutes notice of the new policy for early-access users.
